Anchors aweigh! Seaweed Sam has sailed the seas for many years. But, when a tsunami lands them in an orchestra pit, it’s a first for the marooned pirate. It’s up to the maestro, musicians, and audience (the honorary pirate crew!) to steer the ship in a new direction. It’s all horns on deck as the orchestra takes to sea with their fearless pirate leader to find hidden treasure and make a few sea friends along the way. This whale of a tale dives deep into riptide rhapsodies, aquatic arpeggios, fishy fanfares, and tuneful trivia. Lifejackets on, fins up, ears open. Let’s set sail!   This program is presented by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra in partnership with Orange County Public Schools and performed for over 65,000 local public school students annually.
